Skyfell Mountains

Wood elves roam through this evergreen forest wielding their bows for protection against the vicious beasts that roam this icy mountain region to the north.

Not all the elves of Espladar were seduced by the corrupting power of magic. The wood elves saw the wicked ways of their high elven kin and fled as far north as they could. They discovered a forest in the Skyfell mountains that was untouched by mortal hands. They built a village there where they prospered for hundreds of years. Eventually though, the kingdom of Brance sprang up to the south. Many of the humans did not bother making a distinction between the wood elves and the drow. They were careful to avoid each other until the Brancians built Northgate keep, sealing their distrust.

The wood elves are distrustful of magic after witnessing their kin transform into the Drow. They are excellent archers and have adapted to the harsh Skyfell winters. Most of the Elves of the Evergreen Azariah Forest live within the woods of the harsh climate, though a small settlement has been built in order to house tribal elders and mend wounded hunters. Occasionally a wood elf with a magical bloodline is born and the child becomes a stigma in the society.

The wood elves who reside here are mostly rangers and archers. They tend to wear light fur armor and carry wooden bows they crafted themselves. They may also have objects taken from Brancian soldiers who strayed too far north.
